Restaurants Unlimited, Inc. (RUI) was founded in 1968 when it opened its first of many successful restaurants. Currently, there are 22 sub-brands under the RUI parent company, with locations in 47 U.S. cities, spread in 11 states, with Hawaii and Alaska included. Some of the award-winning restaurants are: Skates on the Bay, Portland City Grill, Manzana Grill, Palisade and Cutters Crabhouse. Among the multi-unit brands are Stanford's, Henry's Tavern, Kincaid's, Palomino Restaurant & Bar and Portland Seafood Company. Each restaurant brand has its own cuisine and theme, being fit for both business and romantic dinners. RUI offers membership in the RUI Rewards Program called "Eat Drink & Earn Club," with additional benefits to member-customers. The company HQ is in Seattle, and it is owned by Sun Capital Partners, a private equity firm. In July 2015, there was a change in RUI’s management, with the company naming Jim Eschweiler as president and CEO. Eschweiler brings 20 years of experience in various business areas at high-growth hospitality and retail companies, and has an MBA in finance from the University of Washington's Michael G. Foster School of Business, and a BS in accounting from Marquette University. ==References==
